Laundry Soap D.I.Y.

A couple of months ago I decided that I would make my own laundry soap. After doing a little research (meaning going on to Pinterest and YouTube), I just wanted to stick to an easy-to-make DRY laundry soap. I went to my local big box store and grabbed all the stuff that I needed.
This is only my second batch but I think I will stick to this way versus the first time I made it.

You'll need:
1 bar of Zote Soap (200g is fine)
1 box of Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
1 box of baking soda
1 box of  20 Mule Team Borax
1 container of Oxiclean
1 container of scent booster (Downy Unstopables, Purex Crystals, Gain Fireworks or an essential/fragrance oil) *optional*

Tools:
Food processor (chopper)
Measuring cup (1 cup)
Grater
Large bowl
Container with a lid (to store the soap)
long handle spoon *optional*

~Let's get started~
Get your large bowl, grater, and bar of Zote soap. Grate the entire bar. I prefer to use the smallest holes on the grater.

Put your soap shavings and baking soda into your food processor. This will help turn your soap shaving into more of a powder. The first time I made it, I just put the grated soap into the food processor but it just made the strings smaller. I like the powdered soap more.

Now just get you measuring cup and storage container and add all of your ingredients.
I don't make large batches because I don't want my laundry to smell the exact same all the time. I need change people.

I use the whole bar of Zote soap (200g)
 1 cup of baking soda
1 cup of Super Washing Soda
 1 cup of OxiClean
 1 cup of Borax
 1 cup of Unstopables

With everything in the container you can use the long handle spoon to mix it. If you don't want to mix it you can just close it and shake, Shake, SHAKE IT.

You're all good to go. I use the scoop that came in my OxiClean container.
A little goes a long way. You don't need a ton of this stuff.
This should yield enough for at least 34 loads if you're using full scoops (2 tbsp.-recommended for large or heavily soiled loads), & about 68 loads (1 tbsp.- recommended for regular loads).

Now go wash some clothes.
